David Hill, the former Organist and Director of Music at Winchester Cathedral, and currently Chief Conductor of the BBC Singers and Musical Director of London’s Bach Choir, is planning to record Stanford’s Stabat Mater with the Bach Choir, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and soloists for the Naxos Label.
The recording sessions are scheduled for late in 2015 and will also include two Stanford works not previously recorded, Song to the Soul, Op. 97b and the Resurrection. Professor Jeremy Dibble is musical advisor to the project.
