Two works by Stanford are included in this year’s English Music Festival to be held in and around Dorchester, Oxfordshire from May 22 to May 25, 2015.
May 23, 2015 at 2.15pm in the Silk Hall, Radley College, Oxfordshire. Peter Cigleris (clarinet) and Martin Cousin (piano) will perform Stanford’s Three Intermezzo Op.13. The programme also includes works by Dunhill, Hurlstone, Vaughan Williams and others.
May 24, 2015 at 7.00pm in Dorchester Abbey ,Oxfordshire. The Orchestra of St. Paul’s conducted by Ben Palmer will perform a programme including Stanford’s Nonet Op. 95. The concert will also include Nonets by Bax and Coleridge-Taylor and Britten’s Sinfonietta.
